Cricket Australia confirmed on September 8 that it would open the door to private investment in Big Bash clubs and begin a sales process for a 100% stake in the Melbourne Renegades licence. CA says the coming WBBL and BBL seasons will continue under the existing structure.
CA will retain control over areas including international scheduling, player availability, salary caps, media rights and approval of investors or major branding changes. The update is a governance and competition-structure change rather than a consumer subscription or ticket-policy update.
