How the rating works
Each profile uses a simple five-star scale. The displayed score is calculated from submitted user ratings for that profile. The rating count and distribution are shown alongside the average so users can see how much data sits behind the number.
One person, one active rating per profile
The intended voting model stores one active rating per visitor and profile. A visitor may update an existing rating instead of creating repeated votes for the same service.
No written review score
RateMosaic’s initial community system is rating-only. There is no separate text-review score, editor score or trust score blended into the result.
New profiles
A profile with no community ratings is shown as “Not rated yet.” RateMosaic does not create placeholder ratings or artificial review counts.
Abuse prevention
The rating system is designed to use rate limiting, duplicate-vote controls and additional verification for unusual voting patterns. Ratings that are technically invalid or abusive may be excluded from the aggregate.
Ratings are opinion, not fact
User ratings represent community opinion. They are visually and structurally separated from factual information such as pricing rules, refund policies, security features and official documentation.
