Source priority
For objective profile information, RateMosaic gives priority to first-party material such as official websites, terms, help centers, pricing pages, refund policies, security documentation and company support articles.
Category-specific research
The sources reviewed depend on the service. Marketplace profiles focus on seller and return rules. Software profiles focus on plans, billing and security. Travel profiles focus on booking responsibility and payment handoff. Financial-service profiles focus on fee disclosures and account security.
Regional differences
Many policies vary by country, payment method, seller, plan or product. RateMosaic tries to label those limits instead of presenting one regional rule as universal.
Changing information
Pricing, refund windows, product limits and service features can change. Profiles may show a “checked” date to indicate when the displayed source set was last reviewed.
Corrections
If a factual statement becomes outdated or is found to be wrong, the profile should be corrected against the most authoritative available source. A correction to factual profile data does not modify or manufacture community ratings.
What sources do not mean
Linking an official source does not mean RateMosaic endorses the company’s claims. When a statement is specifically a company claim, the profile should identify it as such rather than present it as independently verified fact.
