DigitalOcean makes Managed Databases Advanced Edition generally available

DigitalOcean says its Advanced Edition for PostgreSQL and MySQL adds proxy-based failover, storage scaling up to 32 TB and broader database tuning and observability.

DigitalOcean’s September 17 changelog says Managed Databases Advanced Edition is now generally available for PostgreSQL and MySQL. The company highlights automated proxy-based failover, faster storage scaling and expanded tuning and observability controls.

This is a product-tier update rather than a change to every existing managed database. Customers should review the current engine support, region availability and migration documentation for the exact cluster they operate.
