EcoFlow Japan announced on September 14 that it will accept affected RIVER Pro products for a voluntary collection program from September 24. The company says the affected RIVER Pro and dedicated extra battery were discontinued in 2023 and that no further smoke or fire incidents had been reported after the earlier safety firmware update among updated units.
The notice includes model-identification guidance, a collection process and Japan-specific gift-card exchange terms. Owners should follow the official Japanese notice rather than third-party recall summaries.
