Hootsuite published the WhatsApp Coexistence update on September 9. The feature uses Meta’s Embedded Signup V4 and allows a business number to remain active in the WhatsApp Business App while the same number is connected to Hootsuite Inbox through the Cloud API.
Hootsuite says the change also prepares customers for Meta’s retirement of the older Embedded Signup V2 flow in October 2026. Administrators should confirm account permissions and migration steps before changing an existing WhatsApp setup.
