About Austrian Airlines

Austrian Airlines AG was founded on September 30, 1957, and operated its first scheduled flight from Vienna to London on March 31, 1958. Vienna remains the airline’s primary hub and the center of a network of more than 120 destinations.

Austrian became part of the Lufthansa Group in 2009 and is also a Star Alliance member. Its network is particularly dense across Central and Eastern Europe while connecting Austria with long-haul and other international destinations through Vienna.

Passenger support is organized by request type and region. Austrian publishes worldwide service contacts plus an Internet Helpdesk for online booking, check-in, rebooking, Travel ID and app issues; ticket, baggage and refund options depend on the itinerary and fare conditions.
