About Doodle

Doodle was founded in 2007 by Michael Näf and Paul E. Sevinç, then students at ETH Zurich, to simplify the process of finding a time for people to meet. The company was incorporated as Doodle AG in Switzerland in 2008 and evolved from its well-known group polling tool into a broader scheduling platform for individuals and organizations. Doodle’s current legal imprint identifies Doodle AG at Werdstrasse 21, 8021 Zurich, Switzerland and states that the company is a wholly owned subsidiary of TX Group. The same official material says Doodle was fully acquired by the group’s predecessor media business in 2014.

That ownership should be distinguished from the product itself: a Doodle subscription, booking page or scheduling poll is operated by Doodle, while TX Group is the corporate parent. Doodle today offers one-to-one scheduling, group polls, booking pages and business-oriented scheduling features, with integrations and AI-assisted scheduling capabilities evolving over time. Free and paid plans have different limits and features, so a profile should not freeze temporary subscription names, meeting limits or integration lists into evergreen facts. Customers should check the current pricing and plan pages before making a purchasing decision.

Doodle is also not a calendar provider in the same sense as Google Calendar or Microsoft Outlook; it can connect to supported calendars to show availability and create events, but the underlying calendar account remains with the third-party provider. Users should review permissions carefully when connecting business or personal calendars and should avoid sharing confidential meeting information through public scheduling links. Support is intentionally online. Doodle’s Help Center states that it does not offer telephone support and that users can reach support through the Help Center and support widget, with human assistance handled by email after a ticket is submitted.

This makes phone numbers on third-party “support” sites unreliable indicators of official Doodle service. A useful support request should include the account email, affected scheduling link, browser or app context and screenshots where appropriate, but never passwords or authentication codes. Corporate statistics such as current user totals, employee counts and meeting volumes are moving figures and should be dated when used. The durable facts are the 2007 founding by Näf and Sevinç, Swiss incorporation, Zurich headquarters and ownership by TX Group.
