Kittl grew out of Heritage Type Co. and Heritage Designer, projects created by lettering artist Tobias Saul and entrepreneur Nicolas Heymann. In 2022 the product evolved into Kittl as a broader design platform.
The platform combines an online editor with templates, fonts, vector graphics, mockups and AI tools for image, video and design workflows. Kittl says more than five million users worldwide use the platform, with teams based in Berlin, Düsseldorf and other locations.
Licensing and commercial-use rights depend on the asset type, subscription and how the design is created. Kittl maintains a dedicated Help Center for billing, licensing, account and editor questions and a contact form for direct inquiries.
