The brand is now part of EssilorLuxottica and operates more than 1,000 locations across the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
The retail business sells prescription frames and lenses, sunglasses, contact lenses and related optical products through stores and regional e-commerce. In the United States, LensCrafters.com is operated by Luxottica of America Inc. Regional sites can use different legal entities, insurance relationships and consumer policies.
Clinical care needs to be described separately from retail. Eye doctors at or next to LensCrafters locations can be independent practices, and exam fees, insurance participation and medical records may not be controlled by the retail store. In 2026, EssilorLuxottica also began testing a more integrated Vision & Eye Health Center model, but that should not be assumed to exist at ordinary LensCrafters locations.
