Mytheresa is a luxury multi-brand digital retailer with roots in the THERESA boutique opened in Munich in 1987 and an online store launched in 2006. The business developed from a high-end local fashion retailer into a global e-commerce platform serving customers in more than 130 countries with curated womenswear, menswear, kidswear, shoes, bags, fine jewelry, watches and lifestyle products from major luxury houses. The ownership structure has changed substantially in recent years. Mytheresa is now part of LuxExperience, the publicly listed digital luxury group that also operates NET-A-PORTER, MR PORTER and YOOX.
LuxExperience’s current investor materials describe Mytheresa, NET-A-PORTER and MR PORTER as its luxury segments and YOOX as its off-price segment. That means older descriptions of Mytheresa as the standalone parent company or as an NYSE-listed business under its previous structure are out of date. Mytheresa remains a distinct customer-facing store within the group, with its own site, assortment, customer service and high-value customer programs. The retailer’s business is based on curation rather than attempting to list every item produced by every luxury brand. Collections, exclusives, capsule launches and pre-release access can change quickly, and luxury brands can restrict which categories or countries are available through a particular retailer.
Customers should therefore use the current product page and regional checkout rather than assuming that a brand seen in one market is available everywhere. Country also affects pricing, taxes, duties, delivery and returns. A price displayed on one regional version of Mytheresa may include or exclude different taxes or import costs from another region, and return labels or collection services can vary by destination. Luxury purchases introduce product-specific considerations as well. Materials such as leather, suede, silk, fine jewelry and delicate embellishments require different care, and shoe or garment sizing can vary by designer.
A European size from one fashion house may fit differently from the same nominal size from another. Mytheresa provides product measurements and Customer Care assistance, but the customer should still check the brand-specific size information and item description. Authenticity is also central to luxury retail. Mytheresa positions itself as an authorized multi-brand retailer sourcing directly within the luxury industry rather than as a peer-to-peer resale marketplace, which gives the purchase a different provenance and service model from second-hand platforms. That does not mean every product can be returned after any type of use.
Tags, condition, hygiene restrictions, personalized products and other exceptions can affect return eligibility, so the live policy attached to the order is the controlling source. Customer Care is available through official phone, email and web routes and can help with orders, sizing, styling, delivery and returns. High-value clients may also receive enhanced service or event access, but those relationship programs should not be treated as a standard entitlement for every shopper. Mytheresa’s role inside LuxExperience is also evolving as the wider group integrates systems and operations across its luxury businesses.
Recent 2026 LuxExperience results show Mytheresa continuing as a major growth segment, but financial performance and quarterly customer metrics are time-sensitive corporate data and do not belong in an evergreen consumer profile. Temporary capsule collections, seasonal brands, promotional shipping thresholds and financial results should remain on the live retailer and investor sites. A shopper comparing Mytheresa with another luxury retailer should focus on authorized distribution, exact product availability, total landed price, regional return terms, delivery options and the quality of Customer Care rather than only on headline brand count.
