Drogasil was created in São Paulo on March 28, 1935, when two groups of pharmacies combined. The chain expanded across Brazil over the following decades and in 2011 merged with Droga Raia, creating the group that is now known as RD Saúde.
The brand today operates more than 2,100 stores and forms part of an RD Saúde network with more than 3,600 pharmacies. Alongside prescription and over-the-counter medicines, Drogasil sells health, beauty, personal-care and convenience products and offers digital ordering and selected pharmacy services.
Medication availability, prescription requirements, controlled-drug rules and health services are subject to Brazilian regulation and can vary by item or location. Customer support for orders and the loyalty program is separate from pharmacist guidance; published customer-service channels include the Drogasil service center, email and WhatsApp.
