About Superdrug

Ronald and Peter Goldstein founded Superdrug in 1964, and the first store opened on Putney High Street in London on April 26, 1966. The chain expanded rapidly across the UK, passed through several owners and became part of A.S. Watson in 2002. Superdrug Stores plc remains the operating company behind the UK retail site.

Superdrug’s core retail assortment covers cosmetics, skincare, haircare, fragrance, toiletries, personal care, health products and electrical beauty products, including a large portfolio of own brands. The company also operates an online Marketplace where third-party sellers can list products, so seller identity and Marketplace terms need to be checked separately from ordinary Superdrug-sold merchandise.

Health services are a substantial part of the modern business. Superdrug reports hundreds of pharmacies and health-clinic locations across the UK and Republic of Ireland, alongside Online Doctor, vaccination, pharmacy and beauty-treatment services. Regulated pharmacy or clinical questions should therefore go to the relevant professional service rather than ordinary retail customer support.

General customer service is available by online chat, Facebook Messenger and help@superdrug.com. The current contact page lists chat hours across the week and directs pharmacy questions to a dedicated route. Superdrug is part of A.S. Watson Group, which in turn sits within CK Hutchison Holdings, but those corporate relationships should not be confused with the consumer support entity for a Superdrug order.
