Entrepreneur Tariq Farid founded Edible Arrangements in 1999 and opened the first store in East Haven, Connecticut. The fruit-bouquet concept expanded through franchising and online ordering into a large North American gifting network. Edible Brands, the parent organization, says the business remains family owned and operated and identifies Somia Farid Silber as CEO since 2024.
The assortment has grown beyond the original sculpted fresh-fruit bouquet. Current Edible offerings include chocolate-dipped fruit, fruit platters, baked treats, dessert boards, flowers and other celebration or gifting products. Availability is local because many orders are fulfilled by franchised stores. The parent company reports that more than 80% of orders originate through Edible.com and are then fulfilled through the distributed local network.
That franchise structure affects customer service. Questions about a specific order, delivery or local product issue are often best handled by the fulfilling Edible store, while the central Customer Care resources cover broader ordering, account, rewards and policy questions. Edible’s own corporate guidance specifically tells customers not to use the franchising/corporate-office number for ordinary order questions.
The current FAQ identifies the Customer Care Center as 877-DO-FRUIT (1-877-363-7848). Store details should be confirmed through Edible’s locator because local hours and delivery areas vary. Delivery dates can also depend on the receiving store, address, holiday demand and product, so static directory text should not promise universal same-day availability.
Edible has long-running official social identities including @ediblearrangements on Instagram and Facebook and @edible on X. Those channels are useful for campaigns and brand content; order corrections and refunds should remain with Customer Care or the local fulfilling store. This distinction keeps the profile useful without turning marketing accounts into unsupported service contacts.
