About Snapfish

Snapfish launched in 1999 under the project name Project Skytalk, created by Rajil Kapoor, Bala Parthasarathy, Suneet Wadhwa and Shripati Acharya. The service developed around the idea that digital photos could be stored, organized and turned into physical products through a web-based workflow rather than requiring a traditional photo lab visit.

Customers can upload images from computers and mobile devices and, where supported, import from connected services such as Google Photos or Facebook. Photos can be organized into albums and reused across projects including prints, photo books, cards, calendars, canvas and other wall décor, mugs and personalized gifts. Available products, sizes, finishes and design templates differ by country storefront.

Personalized products depend heavily on the source image and the customer’s layout choices. Cropping, low-resolution warnings, spelling, dates and text placement should be reviewed in the final preview before checkout because production is based on the submitted design. Delivery time also includes production time, so a personalized order should not be treated like an off-the-shelf parcel that can ship immediately.

Snapfish operates localized storefronts and country-specific support. In the United States, its Help Center currently provides 24/7 live-chat customer service for orders, products and accounts. Privacy enquiries use privacy@snapfish.com rather than routine order support, keeping data-rights requests separate from production or delivery cases.
