About Le Creuset

Le Creuset began in 1925 when two Belgian industrialists—one specializing in enameling and the other in casting—developed an enameled cast-iron cocotte. The company says the basic production process remains in use at the original foundry in northern France, where its enameled cast-iron pieces are individually cast in sand molds.

Although the brand is closely associated with Dutch ovens and other cast-iron cookware, its range now extends well beyond that category. Current collections include stoneware, stainless-steel and nonstick cookware, kettles, bakeware, kitchen tools, tableware and wine accessories, with assortment varying by country.

Le Creuset operates through regional subsidiaries and country websites. In the United States, Le Creuset of America, Inc. handles the consumer site and customer-service operation, so warranty, returns, promotions and available colors should be checked against the local market rather than assumed to be identical worldwide.

U.S. Consumer Services handles product, website, warranty and order questions by phone and online form. Le Creuset also links directly from its U.S. website to official accounts on Facebook, Instagram, X, Pinterest, YouTube, LinkedIn and TikTok.
