About Prodigy Game

Prodigy Education says the company began in 2011 as an undergraduate project. Co-founders Alex Peters and Rohan Mahimker built the business around the idea that curriculum practice could be delivered through the structure and motivation of a video game.

Prodigy Math combines standards-aligned math practice with a role-playing game and is designed for students in grades 1–8. Prodigy English focuses on foundational reading and writing skills for grades 1–6. The company also provides parent and educator dashboards, progress information and classroom tools.

The service uses a freemium model: educational content is available without charge to educators and students, while optional parent memberships add paid gameplay features. Accounts are separated into student, parent and educator roles, and the company publishes dedicated privacy and safety material because its products are widely used by children and schools.

Prodigy Education Inc. is based in Toronto. Support is available through separate help centers for parents, teachers and students, as well as a ticket system, support email and phone number. Corporate information is also published through Prodigy Education’s official LinkedIn presence.
